Competition Tyres

N Pattern (N01, N20)

The N-pattern is a moulded slick tyre. All tyres we use must have moulded grooves over at least 17% off the surface area. This is fine for completely dry stages. For damp stages, we can "cut" the N-pattern tyres to increase the amount of tread.

The N01 compond will normally last up to about 10-12 miles - for longer stages we would fit N20's to the front wheels. Unlike forest tyres which wear out completely in 20 miles, once a tarmac tyre cools down again after going off, it will generally be useable for further stages.

TA Pattern (TA00)

The TA-pattern is a "true" wet - it is moulded with a lot more grooves than the N-pattern and is used on wet roads with lots of standing water.
